Colorado Korean Chorus
“To elevate the cultural and human experience through chorale excellence to the community and to its membership”
The CKC is a Colorado Korean Chorus, formed in 2005 by a small group of local choral enthusiasts in the community. Since then, the CKC has established itself as one of Colorado’s long-standing Korean community chorus. The CKC’s mission is “elevate the cultural and human experience through choral excellence to the community and to its membership”.
The choral ensemble is comprised of volunteer singers under the direction of dedicated artistic director Dr. Taehyun Kim. The CKC singers reside throughout the greater Denver area, largely in Arapahoe county.
Some serve as vocal instructors, music instructors, church choir conductors, and others are pastors, doctors, nurses, counselors, engineers, accountants, realtors, financial analysts, social workers, small business owners, and homemakers – all brought together in weekly rehearsals for shared choral excellence. The CKC performs in seasonal concerts annually and in other special concerts throughout the year. In 2015, The CKC celebrated its 10th anniversary in a very special concert titled “Arirang”. Through this concert, CKC has witnessed tremendous growth in choral excellence and has received accolades from the community.

It is with great pleasure that we introduce our 2020 season, which promises to be one of our most exciting and festive performances.
This year marks the 15th year anniversary and we are excited to celebrate and share this commemorative festival with you. On June 7th, 2020, the CKC will perform Haydn’s greatest oratorio “The Creation”, illuminating the stage with 39 professional orchestra members, 3 professional soloists, and 60 CKC chorus members.
We are excited to bring you these spirited and vibrant music arrangements and we welcome you to join us in this celebration. We are confident that our 15th-anniversary concert festivity will impress not only the cultural community but generous supporters like you.
