Colorado Korean Chorus

As a Korean community chorus, Colorado Korean Chorus has consistently developed after its establishment in 2005

Under Dr. Taehyun Kim, CKC has had seasonal concerts (two main concerts, special concert) annually and has held seminars for the community to provide quality choral music regularly. CKC is eager to have opportunities to serve with good music and passion. CKC has been well received reputation by their performance (Messiah and Dixit Dominus by Handel, Coronation Mass by Mozart, Glory by Rutter, Ceremony of Carol by Britten etc.) from choral enthusiasts, including Korean communities. In addition, CKC has consistently produced a great impression by its Korean choral repertories, surpassing traditional resource and ethnic spirituals.

In the 8th annual concert in 2012, CKC invited a composer, Young-Jo Lee and performed his works featured integrating Korean traditional elements with western musical techniques resulting in, CKC received great reputations. CKC has matured over the past 11 years, pursuing excellence for a heightened level of choral music awareness and touching the minds and hearts of the Colorado cultural community. In 2015, CKC celebrated our 10th anniversary with a very special concert in June titled “Arirang”. Through our performances, CKC has witnessed tremendous growth in our own choral music growth and naturally has received much appreciation and accolades from the community.

Greeting

President, Ms. Eunjoo Song

It is my honor to introduce Colorado Korean Chorus to you.

For the past 12 years, CKC has held concerts biannually in various genres of music. All our chorus members are extremely dedicated ensuring they are at practice at least once a week preparing several months in advance for each concert. This commitment is not only tied to each member’s passion but also the enjoyment and relationships they have gained from membership.

My gratitude to our choir members is equally extended to our faithful conductor and pianist who are both extremely talented musicians and teachers.
I would like to give many thanks for the continuous attendance and encouragement to all of you in the audience. It is you and your financial support that have made all of our concerts possible.

We are in need of your continuous support and encouragement. If you know someone who is interested in joining a community like our and would like to sing with us, please feel free to inquire with myself or one of our members.

We will do our best to serve our community with a caliber of music that transcends beyond culture and race.
